Mernda, Borrack Garden
The Borrack Garden was originally designed and built by Gordon Ford in 1970 for John and Gillian Borrack. Ford’s early vision included one of his first naturalistic swimming pools, set within a quiet rural landscape framed by remnant Eucalyptus. Nearly forty years later, as council rezoning pushed suburbia up against the boundaries of their once secluded property, John and Gillian enlisted Sam to help. The brief was straightforward but ambitious: to reclaim the sense of bush they had lived with for decades and to create internal views that screened out the creeping suburban development beyond.
