Red Gums, a six acre garden is one of Sam’s first ever projects when he began his practice in 1999. The brief was for the garden to incorporate the large stand of remnant Red Gums that sit amongst 3 billabongs in the front garden. This is one of the largest stands of remnant Red Gums in the area. Basalt boulder outcrops and planting areas were created to emulate nature, with soft curving lines and generous sized moundings filled with an of acacias, banksias, grevilleas, leptospermums and eucalypts.
